The Turkey Run Car Show, held at the Daytona International Speedway this past Thanksgiving Weekend was a great success by any measurement. There were large crowds that came through the antique race car display. The Living Legends of Auto Racing had a very successful weekend with proceeds from the sale of items going to support the racing history museum in South Daytona. Thanks go out to each member who helped over the weekend.

We are very sad over the passing of Geraldine Bruner Barberie on December 3rd. Geraldine grew up with NASCAR. Her parents were John Bruner, the original NASCAR Flagman and Mary Bruner who handled race registration and driver payment. Geraldine was a regular staffer at the LLOAR Racing History Museum in South Daytona and helped with many functions. The loss of one who saw NASCAR stock car racing grow first hand is not replaceable. Rest in Peace Geraldine.

I hope to see many of you next Tuesday at our December meeting at the LLOAR Racing History Museum in South Daytona.

Merry Christmas!

Bob Coolidge, VP, Living Legends of Auto Racing, Inc. December 14, 2013.
